Hello Andre + Ronald,
you've been heard !
- even if that wasn't exactly what i wanted to ;)
Schema2XForms is surely a very usefull tool which we'd like to extend
and maintain further. but ... (sorry) it's an addon to Chiba core which
we currently try to make 1.0 and this still has highest priority.
nevertheless we always open to improvements to Schema2XForms and welcome
any input and contributions - to be honest we've not used this much
ourselves pratically. it only exists thanks to Sophie Ramel who
contributed most of its current code and Bryan Dueck who wrote the
initial version.
to cut it short - we ourselves will definitely don't have time to focus
on it until that magic number has been rolled out. please understand and
don't hesitate to further forward us your ideas about Schema2XForms and
help to improve it further.
There's at least one patch pending (regarding namespaces in
Schema2XForms) which i'll try to include soon.

All,
I would like to second Ronald's feedback. The most useful application of
Chiba for me is to create forms automatically from XML schema files, so
improving that process in any dimension (more features, more
documentation, more examples) would be a huge plus.
Thanks,
Andre

Hi Joern,
Congratulations for approaching 1.0
The thing I'd like to see improved is (and unfortunately it is
something I already worked a little
on, shame on me..)
Better schema2xforms support
- support namespaces
- extended use of annotations in the xsd to:
- create the label (instead of 'prettyprint') (e.g. the first line
of the annnotation is the
label, the other lines are the tooltip, where the label coulb be in as
well
- language aware
e.g.
<xsd:annotation>
<xsd:documentation xml:lang="en">
I am the label
I am the tooltip for the label
</xsd:documentation>
<xsd:documentation xml:lang="de">
Ich bin der label
Ich bin der tooltip des labels
</xsd:documentation>
</xsd:annotation>
_______________________________
|I am the label |
Would become: __|I am the tooltip for the label |
/ |_______________________________|
I am the label : ______________ (?)
if used in an english browser on an input type text (with the 'I am
the label' in the tooltip in bold
Second is the thing you already asked for, some more client-side
validation
Third is client-side adding of another element to repeats.
Keep up the good work, and if I find some time.... (you know... jBPM
;-) ) I'll try to see if I
can help out a little.

Hi *,
as we're approaching the 1.0 of Chiba we'd like to hear your opinions,
suggestions and ideas about Chiba and which areas still need improvement
from your personal perspective.
any comments are appreciated and will be regarded for the further
planning.
if you're using Chiba in your project please give back some of your
experiences and help us to make it a better tool.
