Hi.
Thanks for a great XForms engine! I have recently integrated the forms
processor into another infrastructure. This required very little change
to the Chiba code.
may i ask with infrastructure that was? always interested in Chiba's uses.
The infrastructure is a servlet that processes XML much in the same way as
Cocoon. However, it is more lightweight and flexible in its configuration
options. This servlet is being used in several applications including ones
developed for Alphinat (http://www.alphinat.com) and 01 Communications
(http://www.hyperbase.com).
thanks for that info. may we link these companies as users?
if you submit the code to the list we'll add this to the patch queue.
Sorry. I tried to submit the code earlier on today, but I just noticed that
Sourceforge is bouncing all messages containing .zip attachments.
don't worry - we're not that fast ;)
Here are a few points about the changes:
1) All modifications within the Java code have been marked with:
// ==================== Added by Terence Jacyno
if you don't mind i'd also like to list you as author in the class comments.
2) The Config class also contains a modification that allows configuration
information to be read directly from a stream. This is not necessary for the
extension functions, but I use it in my integration. Please feel free to
remove it if you do not find it useful.
i'll have a loook. maybe its usefull.
3) The default.xml contains a new element, extension-functions, within which
the user-defined functions can be declared. There is a comment within the
file about how to use it.
very nice. this way we have a first handle to implement the
mustunderstand and functions attributes in XForms.
4) If you find the regular expressions functionality useful, please feel free
to change the package name to a chiba one.
Thanks for all your great work.
thank you for this great contribution!
