The infrastructure is a servlet that processes XML much in the same way as
Cocoon. However, it is more lightweight and flexible in its configuration
options. This servlet is being used in several applications including ones
developed for Alphinat (http://www.alphinat.com) and 01 Communications
(http://www.hyperbase.com).

Sorry. I tried to submit the code earlier on today, but I just noticed that
Sourceforge is bouncing all messages containing .zip attachments.

Here are a few points about the changes:

1) All modifications within the Java code have been marked with:
// ==================== Added by Terence Jacyno

2) The Config class also contains a modification that allows configuration
information to be read directly from a stream. This is not necessary for the
extension functions, but I use it in my integration. Please feel free to
remove it if you do not find it useful.

3) The default.xml contains a new element, extension-functions, within which
the user-defined functions can be declared. There is a comment within the
file about how to use it.

4) If you find the regular expressions functionality useful, please feel free
to change the package name to a chiba one.

Thanks for all your great work.
