hello Paul,

Team,
Just a quick thought. I was wondering why the XForms in the chiba 0.9.2
package have a file extension of .xml. Shouldn't it have an extension
of .xform (or something equivalent)?
we used xml as extension as long as we didn't know better ;)
but to be serious:
in 0.9.3 we've changed the default extension for xforms documents to
xhtml cause we use xhtml documents as xforms containers. -
xforms is no stand-alone markup language and always has to be embedded
in some other (xml) language. so effectively xforms can be embedded in
xhtml, svg or any other ml you choose. using xhtml as a standard is just
a convention we choose for Chiba cause if you're thinking of
single-source authoring of xforms the xforms still has to be embedded
somewhere - xhtml is just a widely spread and well-known choice. you
still have the choice to output another language even if xhtml is the
input by overwriting the standard stylesheet.

Just curious,
Paul
