hello,
absolutely agree about the importance of itemset.
we'll need some implementation plan for the further steps in the project
and i'll send a propasal to the list for review by all Chibanauts.

you may also always use the head version of chiba-sandbox to get the
latest changes or as a committer may get some influence on this process.
I may implement a quick workaround <itemset> in my project by just
preprocessing the XForms definition document with an XSL transform to expand
out any itemsets that I find before Chiba gets to see the input.
First I think I need to get Chicoon working with the latest Chiba
release...then maybe I'll consider working on implementation of <itemset>.
Using the sandbox version is not possible for me, since the application I am
working on is going into production before year's end and so has to be based
on a relatively stable version of Chiba.
we're still lacking financial backup and are thinking about seeking
sponsors/investors cause the work is time-consuming and does not allow
project work besides.
Understandable....it's the reason I can't spend more effort working on Chiba
myself. I have to work on my client's application so as to pay the mortgage
and keep my wife in the style to which she is accustomed. ;-)
But I'll do what I can to help.
if there's any chance to hold our backs free we'd
like to release a fully compliant 1.0 version until end of the year. as
we're still 0.9.2 you can guess that there are several releases pending.
I'll definitely be able to do serious testing on any new features in that
timeframe, but that will be too late for my Phase 1 application
implementation to use a full featured 1.0 version.
Anyway, for what it's worth, I vote for implementation of <itemset> sooner
rather than later! ;-) It's the key feature that I really need for this
application that is missing.
