Not sure when we'll have our next release. It hasn't been discussed yet.
In the meantime you can probably workaround this problem by validating
during a parse instead of in memory. For example,
Schema schema = ...;
DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
dbf.setNamespaceAware(true);
dbf.setSchema(schema);
DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder();
