Compiling libxerces-c.so under HP-UX 11.23 with the help of gcc: msg#00008

Subject: Compiling libxerces-c.so under HP-UX 11.23 with the help of gcc

Hello all,

I was just trying to build a libxerces-c.so.26 file on HP-UX 11.23 with the
help of gcc and was surprised with the thing that ``./runConfigure -p hpux -c
gcc -x g++ -r pthread -b 64'' produced Makefiles that calls gcc with aCC's
options (+DAportable +eh +Z -Z +a1 +d ... and so on). If using cc and aCC
compilers, then libxerces-c.sl was produced, which doesn't fit my needs.

So guys, can you please help me with the plan how to build libxerces-c.so under
HP-UX 11.23?

With best regards,
Aleksandr.
