I tried placing your fragment into a stylesheet, but I was unable to reproduce
the problem you are describing. Which version of Xalan-J are you
using? Are you using the interpretive processor or XSLTC? Are
you able to provide a complete stylesheet and extension function implementation
that demonstrate the problem?
