You're right; they continue support SVG in many of their products, and
IIRC, there are still two SVG related product announcements to come for
this year.

But they definitely slowed down their SVG efforts in many important
areas (no criticism, just a list of aspects where they decreased SVG
efforts):

* There hasn't been an update to ASV in a long time.
* Their SVG site (which isn't ASV specific) doesn't get updated since a
   while.
* The announcement for SVG in LiveMotion [1] is very old now.
* Two of Adobe's main SVG people are not with them anymore.
* They didn't have a booth @ SVG Open.
* AFAICS, they don't participate in the WG anymore; on
     http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/
I can't find anyone from Adobe (Jon's not with them anymore).
In the author lists for 1.0, there were two from Adobe.

Anyways, they're very free to choose their strategy, and we shouldn't be
dependent on them. Even if the would fully support it again at some
point, it doesn't make sense so put the future of SVG in the hands of a
single vendor.

BTW, on the Wiki
   http://www.protocol7.com/svg-wiki/ow.asp?SendWishes
I found

"* Adobe LiveMotion?: SVG export was demonstrated at a conference quite
a while ago. Send feature requests to
mailto:livemotionwishlist@xxxxxxxxx or
http://www.adobe.com/support/feature.html";

Yes, but I think the ani style paradigm of LM can be nicely coded in SVG
SMIL, concering reuse of ani comoponents.

Absolutely.

Some companies/groups helping to develop the spec and thus showing
serious interest in SVG:

ZOOMON, Corel, Savage Software, Nokia, Ericsson, Quark, AOL, Kodak,
Canon, BitFlash, Sun, OASIS, CSIRO, ILOG, Hewlett-Packard, Schema
Software, Agfa, Sharp, KDDI, Openwave Systems.

Then there's interest in SVG in Gnome, KDE, Mozilla, etc.

Adobe already announced and promised SVG support, two years ago:
pressrelease:]
"(March 6, 2000) LiveMotion will also support the W3C's Scalable
Vector Graphics (SVG) format in the next release of the product."
