bilinear interpolation of color

Hi all,

I am brand new to SVG and would like to draw a filled rectangle
with 4 different colors at each vertex.  These colors
should be bilinearly interpolated in the fill.

So far, I have only seen a linearGradient and a radial gradient
that does color interpolation but neither is what I want.

Any ideas ?
