SAX feature documentation in docs/features.html |
Hi everyone,
Regarding the note on docs/features.html
being the canonical location for feature documentation, this document doesn't
contain any of the features and properties for the extensions, for instance
lexical-handler isn't there nor is declaration-handler. On the web
page, resolve-dtd-uris [1] is listed as one of the features for SAX2 extensions
1.1. If that's true shouldn't it be documented somewhere. It was
in package.html for org.xml.sax along with the description of every other
feature and property. I understand rolling out the SAX 2.1 stuff,
but the file in CVS is basically empty now. SAX 2.0.1 [2] provided
the description of all of the features and properties in the package description.
It would be good to keep this information in the javadoc. I wasn't
aware of docs/features.html until I looked in CVS. These docs aren't
posted on the website (in fact the page on features which is currently
there refers to the org.xml.sax package description). They also seem
to get separated from the API when its distributed, for instance I don't
see them in the zip for SAX 2.0.1.
