RE: Character encodings: msg#00239text.xml.exist
Hi,
I've noticed a similar problem when storing XML files within eXist.
I've found that if I remove the xml processing instruction from the
first line of the file, then character encodings are preserved - but keep the
processing instruction and the characters will not be preserved when retrieving
the documents.
This problem occurrs with the web admin interface, and when using
XML-RPC - but not when using the Xincon webdav client. I don't remember trying
the Java admin client.
Hope this helps,
Rob.
