RE: Re: Flash <-> eXist communication problem: msg#00164text.xml.exist
Hi, Thanks again for your answer! > Have you checked if the document has actually been updated? I did and it doesn't seem to get updated. The query I perform after sending the update is: http://ace.axis.nl:8080/exist/servlet/db/digimap?_query=//points/point/@ x And that shows no updates. I also tried shutting down the server after such an update and then pulling out the same data. However, still no updates were visible... > Have you tested if other requests work, e.g. a query via POST? This would help > to find out if the HTTP communication is ok or not. That's a thing I intend to do next. The only nasty thing is that Flash seems to have a rather weird mechanism for implementing regular POST HTTP requests: one seems to have to create name=value attributes for each parameter one wants to post. Normally this is no issue, but in this case it's not really possible, as the connector will (most likely) generate an incorrect request from it. I'm trying to find a way around this, though. On another note: for some reason Flash reports that there was an 'error while opening URL'. Yet, behind the scenes (i.e. from the server output) it looks like the complete requests was made successfully. However, perhaps Flash drops the connection too soon, or something of the likes... Either way: after the previously quoted statement has been shown in the server output, the update ought to have taken place, right? It will be very good to know at least if that should have happened, such that I can find out whether the error resides on the server side, or on the client side. Cheers!
