I'd
say very painfull. for example, the Canvas is very nice for applets, but with
2Mb almost no one is going to use it that way...perhaps a small distribution
would make sense...
You
don't need all the jar files, it would be possible (although a little painful)
to also strip down the jars just to those classes that you actually
use.
regarding this, I noted that the full batik jars
are 2Mb, so perhaps that's a problem for pocket. is there any way to reduce
the size of the batik distro ?

Can use the batik core modules and low
level modules with jdk1.1?
My purpose is to create a SVG
Viewer for Pocket PCs and i only know the Jeode Java virtual
machine for Pocket PC and it only suports (i guess!)
jdk1.1.
I appreciate all the help u can give to me
namely if there is any newer VM for pocket...
