turning unicode into plain text: msg#00628text.unicode.general
Dear unicode group: Do I have to be very smart to ask a dumb question? Is it possible to make unicode readable? I accidently deleted several messages from Yahoo messenger, after finally retrieving them, they came back with a *.hst extension and the text is unreadable. After a lot of reading and searching, it appears the script is unicode and other types of encoding. What does Yahoo messenger use? I have tried about six different zips and it appears these messages are not encrypted. If anyone knows the answer to this question or needs more information, please let me know.
