Hi Markus,

RefDB version 0.9.6-pre2 is now available for download
Finally a simple way
for upgrade scripts to detect the main database version (independent
of the database engine used) was required. To this end, refdbd now
maintains a DB_VERSION file carrying this information.
Umm, no it doesn't, at least not the versions I just built from the
pre-release and cvs.
It starts quite happily in the absence of the DB_VERSION file. This
seems to me to be the correct behaviour. It does not, however, create
the file -- either at startup or shutdown. I think this is a bug.
I'm compiling with the option '--with-db-dir=/var/lib/refdb/db' and it
certainly doesn't appear in that directory when I start refdbd (using
'refdbctl start').
Regards,
David.
