I think we're as close to a painless installation as is possible for a
portable app distributed as source code. I'm repeating myself, but
anything which goes beyond this will be OS specific, and should
therefore be handled by the package or port mechanism of each
OS. Installing RefDB could be as simple as "apt-get install
refdb-server refdb-clients" on Debian or "make && make install" in the
ports tree of the BSDs. If you know how to create packages or ports on
your OS, please do it. If you know someone who can do it for you, nag
until SHE :-) gives in. It is important to understand that I can't do
this for any number of OSes out there.
