Sounds good to me. You may check out what SourceForge has to offer. They do
support PHP, and they can provide database access afaik. I'd like to encourage
you to develop your interface as an official SF project. You'd then be able to
set up a demonstration site and get input and support from others who attempt
to get a PHP front-end going.
