Broken links to external include files via tag files: msg#00048text.doxygen.general
Help, please. I tried searching this list's archive but I must have missed the answer to this issue... I am using doxygen 1.3-rc2 on RedHat Linux 8.0. I have a large project consisting of four large components (all written in C++): 1) Qt, 2) a large OpenSource software package, 3) a sizeable software package from a subcontractor (which depends on Qt), and 4) an internally developed software package (which depends on #2 & #3). I run doxytag on the Qt documentation to generate a tag file. I run doxygen on package 2 and have it generate a tag file. I run doxygen on package 3, referencing the Qt tagfile, and have it generate a tag file. I run doxygen on package 4, referencing the tag files for #2 & #3. The links from the documentation for package 4 to classes in packages 2 and 3 are OK. However, the links from package 4 documentation to include files in packages 2 and 3 are ALL BROKEN. They point either to non-existant html files or to incorrect html files. Not one single link to an include file outside package 4 is correct. I have also tried running doxytag on the doxygen generated html files for packages 2 and 3, and using those tag files instead of the ones originally generated by doxygen. ALL the links to include files in packages 2 and 3 are STILL BROKEN. I assume I must be doing something wrong in my config files to cause this problem. Rather than include large text files in this email, the config files I use to run doxygen on package 4 can be seen online at: http://awcfamily.com/doxygen If you do not have access to the Internet and wish to see these files, email me and I will send them to you via email.
