Doxygen version 1.3-rc2 on Solaris.

The Doxygen manual states the following for the \image command:

Warning:
The image format for HTML is limited to what your browser supports. For L A T E X the image format must be Encapsulated PostScript (eps).

Until recently I thought this is true.

Using teTeX binary version 1.0.5 I have used PNG images and they are
generated correctly in my refman.pdf.

I was also surprised about this.
As usual I converted everything to eps, but suddenly the original png appeared
in the pdf!

Should this part of the document be updated? Do PNG images work with
other implementations of TeX and LaTeX?

AFAIK this works only with pdflatex, but I didn't investigate this much.

Nice weekend,
Thomas
