Weird Behavior

 Folks,

I seem to have developed a persistent problem:  sometime typesetting  
use xelatex produces garbage in the pdf file.  Typesetting the same  
material again (sometimes several times) produces the correct result.

Has anybody seen this problem?  Any ideas?
