Re: Maybe acountcodes ?: msg#00124

Subject: Re: Maybe acountcodes ?
You can prompt for password by user before letting them do anything.

Look at:
Authenticate http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cmd+Authenticate
VMAuthenticate http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+cmd+VMAuthenticate

My personnal choice is VMAuthenticate because the user can change is password.

Hi Ppl

Is there a way through AMP to require the users to enter a code to make
outbound calls onto the pstn

Ie

User dials external phone number,
phone beeps,
user punches in 4 digit code,
call is established

I have setup a outbound route that uses the codes in the dialing rules ie

1234*|.
4321*|.

So user A has the code 1234 so when he dials out from his phone he has to
dial

1234*phonenumber

And user B dials 4321*|.

Now this works really well but I do have a requirement for the above
solution where after the number has been dialed the phone beeps and the user
then enters their code, I have looked at the accountcode section under
extensions but that seems to relate more to CDR logging but I am not too
sure.

Thank you,
