AMP scalable (without agi): msg#00069

Subject: AMP scalable (without agi)
Hi,
i have installed amp 1.10.010 with asterisk 1.2.1 on a p4 3,2ghz with 1gb ram and 2 hd scsi raid1 to serve a call center with about 100 extensions. My problem is that asterisk crash may times a day. The call center is very busy with thousand of call per day and many queues defined.
I have debugged the problem and the fault is of the dialparties.agi script.
I have modified the macro-dial of extensions.conf to dial simply the extensions, without control the status with agi, and now is rock stable. But i have lost many of the features present with amp. Aparts from the dnd or cf, how can i question the status of an extensions directly from the dialplan of asterisk (busy, in use, ecc)? For now i'm not interested in ring-group, but this an essential step to make slim the dial command of amp. The same machine works fairly well with asterisk 1.0.10; fairly because don't crash but sometimes, always in moment with high load, dialparties.agi doesn't recognize that an agent is in call and the ring however arrives. If you want to try this, with asterisk 1.2, defines some queues with each 20-30 static agents not logged, and dial the number of the queus with a softphone like x-lite with all the three lines. Asterisk will crash after 5-10 minutes (segmentation fault, deadlock, die). I have tried myself in three different machines (all p4) but all with my preferred distribution (slackware) and result is always the same.

Best regards,
Francesco Romano
