RE: Digital Receptionist help...: msg#00199

Subject: RE: Digital Receptionist help...
This can be done.

For example if you want to add more files to [aa_1] you would add something
like this in extensions_custom.conf

[aa_1-custom]
Exten => s,8,Background(custom/msg2)
exten => s,9,Background(silence/1)
exten => s,10,Background(custom/msg3)

The ResponseTimeout countdown doesn't start until the last message is
played.

Hi Doug et al,

Thanks for the reply. However, what I am trying to achieve doesn't seem to
be feasible with AMP...

I want one "menu" or "layer" to be able to play 2 or 3 separate files in the
row, while waiting for digits. As I mentioned, I can do this, but every time
I add anything that requires a rewrite of the files, it overwrites the
changes made.

You can layer your "Digital Receptionist" however many layers you wish. If
you take a close look at the options, you can have one Digital Receptionist
feed into another. Play around with it, and you should be able to make it
as complicated as you want.

Remember, however, that the more complex it is, the harder it will likely be
for the caller to navigate.

Good luck!
