Subject: RE: debian install
There is no /etc/init.d/asterisk start in this solution, asterisk and all
utils are built from cvs.  I had too many issues with the deb packages.

Thanks for taking the initiative.  I gained some info in that you are 
able use the amportal start.  I've always just used /etc/init.d/asterisk 
start.
