Well, the way I like to look at it is, use what the devs are using. Alot
of linux-related install headaches and weirdness can be attributed to
the software running on a platform (distro) other than what it was
developed on. Ideally it should be write once, run anywhere, but as we
all know, all the little tinkering that each packager does affects the
outcome.
