newbie installation question

Dear all

I've downloaded "T2 7.0 rc2 minimal i486" and start installing on a new HD... everything work fine but now I'm in trouble trying to install a new package (for example apache) not available into the minimal cdrom... how do I need to proceed ?

after that, I need to upgrade at least to kernel 2.6.23... is this possible ?
