OpenOffice suppost to compile agian in 7.0 & trunk: msg#00017t2.devel
Hi all, I just wanted to let you know that OpenOffice.org is suppost to compile again in the 7.0 branch and trunk. It was known broken for some time due to gcc-4.x updates and OpenOffice updates respectively. Tested on x86 and x86-64 (yes, we got the 64bit flavour building, finally) and I started a powerpc(32) build on the G5, likewise. I'll now keep working on updating the OpenOffice package from 2.2.1 to 2.3.1. Build time was 5h on a Core 2 Duo 2GHz MacBook with 2GB RAM, and 4h on a 8-core Xeon 3GHz with 8GM RAM. Oh, that numbers remind me that we probably should work on getting OOo building in parallel to get a significant speed improve on those, todays machines.
