I have not yet tested the Java VMs we have in T2. However, you probably will find some tiny, plain C, VM somewhere to add. I have not yet evaulated the efford required to port kaffe or jamvm. However, the AVR32 AP7000 CPU comes with Java acceleration in the CPU, that is the CPU is capable of executing some Java bytes- codes natively and trap on unsupported "instructions" to let the software VM take over the "emulation". Supporting that kind of hardware assisted Java is definetly more work to implemented, and I guess noone started such an open source project, yet. (I guess Atmel has some intern "test code" for this, however.).
