I mostly use it with some custom targets. Provbaably just one or
another package does just not yet build for AVR32, e.g. I remeber gzip
or so to trigger a bug in the AVR32 linker, ... Can you post the error
you get?

Also which T2 version are you using? I hope some 7.0 or trunk?

There is nothing special regarding AVR32, the T2 handbook applies
to all of ARM, MIPS, SPARC, Blackfin, AVR32, ...
