ouh, that attachment was a little big, better compress it the
next time :-)

The stange thing is, that I can not reproduce this failure, on the
reference tester it just built thru:

...
CC [M] drivers/video/neofb.o
include/asm/io.h: In function 'memcpy_toio':
include/asm/io.h:208: warning: passing argument 1 of '__memcpy' discards
qualifiers from pointer target type
include/asm/io.h: In function 'memset_io':
include/asm/io.h:200: warning: passing argument 1 of
'__constant_c_and_count_memset' discards qualifiers from pointer target type
include/asm/io.h:200: warning: passing argument 1 of '__constant_c_memset'
discards qualifiers from pointer target type
include/asm/io.h:200: warning: passing argument 1 of '__memset_generic'
discards qualifiers from pointer target type
include/asm/io.h:200: warning: passing argument 1 of '__memset_generic'
discards qualifiers from pointer target type
CC [M] drivers/video/tdfxfb.o
...

While you get:

CC [M] drivers/video/neofb.o
drivers/video/neofb.c: In function 'neo_map_video':
drivers/video/neofb.c:1788: error: 'struct fb_fix_screeninfo' has no member
named 'smem_'
drivers/video/neofb.c:1788: error: stray '\354' in program
drivers/video/neofb.c:1788: error: expected ';' before 'en'
make[2]: *** [drivers/video/neofb.o] Error 1

The line 1788 in questions reads this on my side:

info->fix.smem_len = video_len;

Can you reproduce this or did a memory bit toggle randomly on your side? Do you
have additional kernel patches that mess with the file?

Yousr,
