Probably I just copied the Mozilla patch to Firefox and test-compiled it and 
never
realled tested whether it actually worked (or Firefox change just later on to 
use
a different run-time wrapper). Whatver, I applied your patch with just minior
editing to make it more identical (spacing and comments) to what we had
before. Mostly to keep the diff easy to read and also to make updating the code
in the future between the browser easier to cut'n paste.
