T2-Resc Missing X Fonts

Hi,

I think I am getting quite close to building my first working T2 CD: I am following the official instructions for creating a CD, the only deviation being that I removed some drivers from the linux26 package using the pkgsel file. I end up with an ISO image that boots OK, but in the end, when it tries to start X, I get an error message:

Fatal server error:
could not open default font 'fixed'

After that, of course, X shows little inclination to run. That happens with a version of the trunk that was checked out yesterday (2/27) morning (EST; mid afternoon  GMT). Where did those fonts go? Were they part of a package I do have but that was built incompletely or are they in another package that I yet have to add to my pkgsel file?  
Any help would be much appreciated.
