t2.devel

Subject: Re: T2/trunk fails on linux26

Initial Download faild on checksum.

Deleted it and retried.

Initial download site failed, tries original URL. Faild again.
Seem to be a checksum mismatch.

For some reason the unionfs patch was not downloaded:

bzcat: Can't open input file
/root/t2-trunk/download/mirror/l/linux-2.6.20-u1.diff.bz2: No such file or
directory.

Maybe manually run ./scripts/Download unionfs

In theory the required files should have been downloaded before the package
build, it would require a more in-depth analysis why it failed in your
particular
case.

I fear one or another wlan driver might fail when you build the trunk desktop,
that is because noone adapted them for the latest 2.6.20 update so far.

I guess we should only update to a new major kernel when we have all
third party modules patched or updated :-(

When 1-linux26 fails due to a third party driver you can just rename the
build/.../var/adm/log/1-linux26.err into a .log and continue the build.

We then have some time to fix this third party driver until your build
reaches the native built 5-linux26 build.

Yours,
