[ANNOUNCE] Major linux-header update: msg#00063t2.devel
Hi all, historically each distribution had to maintain their own set of sanetized Linux kernel headers. However since latest kernels a header install facility is available in the mainsteam Linux kernel and since 2.6.19 it actually is finally usable! r22248 * updated linux-header (2.6.12.5 -> 2.6.19.2) This is way newer anf obviously caused some regressions, where the most ovious, major ones have been fixed before respective shortly after this update commit. The major reasons this updae was performed is to add suppot for yet new architectures where support is only available for this, newer Linux kernel sources. PS: Of course the current branches/6.0, intended for production use, remains unaffected by this changes.
