t2.devel

Subject: Re: Touchscreen

Hi,

usually touchscreens do of course just work. We usually deploy USB HID
compliant touchscreens ... those work out-of-the-box.

Recently we had a project where a Zytronic touchscreen was used. The
associated driver is binary-only and segfaults with X.org after 6.9 or
so ... - so we had to ship explicitly this version (I think we used a T2
version 2.1 based build for that).

I guess in your specific case the penmount driver might be defect after the
X.org modularization and the latest changes.

What T2 and X.org version did you use? Does it work with T2 when you build
exactly the same version SuSE does include? (Maybe the SuSE people have some
hotfix patches for the xf86-input-penmount driver that are not yet sent or
inculuded upstream?

Yours,
