Yes sure, works fine. The biggest problem when you compile this yourself is to get the cross compiler, kernel and all the non-trival packages built right (autoconf/libtool is quite a problem in this case). T2 greatly helps in this area - it can cross build X and co. We do not yet have GPE/Qtopia packages, but Susan started those and they will show up in SVN approximately at the end of this month. > If so, I would love to hear your experiences, both good and bad, on how > this went. I can not comment about Qtopia too much, but we created quite some different embedded systems with just a frame-buffer - but usually we used E17/Evas based GUIs on these systems (or they where that embedded to have no GUI at all - just web based management). PS: The T2 psion target run with X on FB on this very low-end devices already about 2 years ago: http://www.t2-project.org/targets/psion.html Yours, -- René Rebe - ExactCODE GmbH - Europe, Germany, Berlin http://exactcode.de | http://t2-project.org | http://rene.rebe.name +49 (0)30 / 255 897 45 ----------------------------------------------------------- If you wish to unsubscribe from this mailing, send mail to lists@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx with a subject of: unsubscribe t2 |
