Re: Is it impossible to install from a USB CD-ROM?: msg#00013t2.devel
I figured out how to install: select prompt on the menu and load the usb-storage driver with modeprobe Anyway. This way bigger than anything I can use anyway. I need someting that is really minimal, like ttylinx with X. (i actually added x to ttylinux, but couldn't get gtk based apps working which I need as our apps are written in Freepascal/Lazarus) Any idea if I can get something like that from T2? Basically, no development tools - just a runtime environment with glibc, libpthread, Xvesa server and GTK1 and LibXft and their dependencies. Preferably in a Ram disk or mountable loopback device for easy remote upgrades (just replace the "firmware"). This device would be deploy in our organization to people who are used to devices that are not computers.
