Re: Is it impossible to install from a USB CD-ROM?

Hi,

I just wanted to install the 6.0.0 realase on a GeodeLX board with attached 
USB CD drive today, likewise. However the external NEC/Lacie drive is a bit 
touchy and the board refused to boot from it ... :-(

Anyway, the installer should not have hardcoded values that prevents it to 
work on SCSI/USB devices.

How far have you been able run the installer? I guess you have been in this 
dialog based STONE and you have just not been able to get the package manager 
to recognize the CD? Or was the error already while loading the 2nd stage 
system?

With some more details the problem should be fixable easily.
