John,
It pushes all the interp JRE's
to the gateway. Most people just zero
out the jre files under the directories they will not
be using.
As for the failure, make sure you are doing the wdmdistrib
from the TMR server. You can also get
that message if the file doesn’t exist.

Subject: [tme10] [ITM] problem distributing JRE to endpoint
ITM 5.1.2
fwk 4.1.1
ep 41108
Target host is a Solaris box with no java on it ... I'm trying to
distribute the JRE to it with "wdmdistrib -p myProfile -J /path/to/JRE
myEndpoint" ... I get this error
message:
Failed to get the file
status for the file
/opt/Tivoli/image/patches/itm/5.1.1/5.1.1-ITM-FP06/Tools/JRE/w32-ix86/jre13.tar.gz.
Notice the path after Tools/JRE ... it says "w32-ix86" ... my
TMR from which I am distributing is a Solaris box, and the endpoint to which I
am distributing is a Solaris box, and any intervening Gateways are Solaris
boxes. Why on god's green earth is this
thing trying to find & send a Wintel JRE?
Here's the exact syntax of my wdmdistrib command as executed:
wdmdistrib -p myProfilename
-J /opt/Tivoli/image/patches/itm/5.1.1/5.1.1-ITM-FP06/Tools/JRE myEndpoint
Notice there's not any mention of w32-ix86 in that command ... and even
if the ep were a Windows box, there isn't any w32-ix86 version of JRE located in
the FP06 JRE dir (under Tools/JRE is only solaris2 and aix4-r1).
Did I do something wrong? Or is
ITM all fudged up? Anybody seen this
problem before? Anybody know how to get
around it?
