When you created this new Event Group, did you add it to your console ? Under configuration select your console and look at the Event Groups Folder. If the Event Group you created is not in there you will need to add it. I am not sure from reading your post if this is only missing from the Priority view. For the missing events you need to double check the sql the filters events in this view. Run the test sql and see if it finds any events. If not, then you may want to post the sql you are using to filter events.
