RE: Antwort: RE: DMEngine with DMXProcess on AIX produces Java dump: msg#00562sysutils.tivoli.tme10
This issue hit us hard and we applied LA patch 0083 and it worked well. We took an outage to a major client facing application. Why can't APARs resulting from stability/disruptive type problems be communicated better to Tivoli users? Our mgmt would like to see important LA patches be broadcasted thru a sort of HYPER bulletin process as is done with mainframe. Check out post FP03 patches especially 0083LA. Should be out this week. Fixes DMXProcess java problems on AIX boxes, helped me with a few java issues on a few AIX boxes.... /Gus _____ From: owner-tme10@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [ mailto:owner-tme10@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:owner-tme10@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>] On Behalf Of Dr. Gernot Espelage Sent: den 23 februari 2005 17:09 To: tme10@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [tme10] DMEngine with DMXProcess on AIX produces Java dump Hi all, has anybody suffered from the same symptoms? Distribution of the RMs CPU, Filesystems, Memory, File, Physical Disk and Process. Recieving valuable events ... After some hours DMEngine switches to status DMEngineOff - dmxout.log indicates a Java core dump. The environment is: Framework 4.1.1 Patches TMF 6,7,19,30 und LCF 4,10 ITM 5.1.2 FP 3 EP-Version 4.1.1.1 EPs are running on AIx 4.3.3, 5.2 and 5.3 The java version from dmxout.log (ca131-20030630a) tells me that it is suitable (-version and -fullversion). In the lcfd.log (log_threshold=3) I dont find anything suspicous. If I distribute the profile without the Process ressource model, the DMengine keeps running. All that make me think of IY40726: DMXProcess java core due to a memory access violation, that should have been fixed in Fix Pack (5.1.1-ITM-FP03) for IBM Tivoli Monitoring! Did I oversee a cooresponding entry in the forum? Any tip, hint or contribution would be appreciated. Thank you Gernot (See attached file: ecblank.gif) <<graycol.gif>> <<ecblank.gif>>
