[TMF4.1.1] lowlevel command to obtain endpoint ip address on NAT enabled TM: msg#00529sysutils.tivoli.tme10
Hallo, Tivoli won't reveal the IP address with normal procedures. You can get only the hostname, and I'd suggest nslookup to get the IP. I couldn't tell which IP comes in the answer; probably depends on the DNS server queried. >So you are asking for the real address of the endpoint that is on the other >side of a NAT firewall? sounds to me like he wants the NAT'ed address as seen by the GW. to judge from the additional specification "find duplicates" I think it's not important which IP is compared as long as the type of IP (NAT'ed or not) is always the same. >> that has NAT enabled? I need the IP as registered in on the TMR. Tschau...Thomas -- "Do you wanna be a legend or a passing footprint on the sands of time?"
