Re: MDist Data history: msg#00459sysutils.tivoli.tme10
I've had slow responses when I get more than 45 days of data in the MDIST2 DB, so I prefer to store it somewhere else for long term reporting. Jason Shamroski Jason Shamroski
Hi Tracy, Try wmdist -T -1 . Setting the purge interval to -1 disables database purges. The default value is -1. Regards RBaronas
Does anyone know of a way to keep the MDIST data history? Is that a really bad idea? We have a need to report on software distribution history for a longer period of time than the default 72 hour purge after expiration date. Are we missing something? Tivoli Data Warehouse is not an option right now and we spend and inordinate amount of time tracking/reporting our software distribution statuses. Any ideas are appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Regards, Tracy Carlson Middleware - Enterprise Systems Management Desktop Architect - Software Distribution 336-424-5822 ---------------------------------------------------------------- This transmission may contain information that is privileged, confidential and/or exempt from disclosure under applicable law.
