You will be alright with your TEC server on AIX 5.2. I'm running TEC 3.8
and 3.9 on AIX 5.2. Can't really help you with the Oracle information.

Gregory,

Thanks for the response. Yes, we are upgrading from the Manager for
Oracle to ITM for Oracle. However, my real concern is that we are
upgrading the T/EC Server from AIX 4.3.3. to AIX 5.2 and from Oracle
8.1.7.4 to Oracle 9I, and I am wondering if there's anything I will have
to do with the T/EC Server itself, or if it will still work with no
intervention after the OS and Oracle upgrades are completed. THe T/EC is
running at version 3.7.1 with FW 3.7.1, and each has all the lastest
fixpacks.

Thanks again for any responses,

Mike

If you are using the Tivoli Manager for Oracle it will no longer be able
to register Oracle database and instances because Oracle 9i no longer
runs the
(forgot) command that the Tivoli Manager runs for Oracle to post the
banner for Tivoli to grep the version of Oracle.

Let me know if you need that script.

Hi,

I have a T/EC Server running on an AIX 4.3.3 server with Oracle 8.1.7.4.
We are planning an upgrade on the server to AIX 5.2 and Oracle 9I. Is
there anything I need to do with either the Framework or T/EC components
so that they work after the OS and Oracle upgrades?

Thanks for any information you can provide.
