Richard,
You have to manually create the configuration files postemsg.conf.  You can whatever name you want.  When you use the postemsg command, you can give the command the -f flag and specify the configuration file of your choice --> postemsg -f ./postemsg.conf.  You can use the tecad_logfile.conf file as an example.  Don't forget that if you are using postemsg that you will have to specify both the server and the port number that the TEC server is listening on.
Thanks!

The postemsg.conf and @EventServer.conf files, are they created by pushing
the TEC adapter down to the EP or do you create them manually. I seem to be
messing both of the configuration files. The only conf file is for the TEC
adapter in $TECADHOME/etc/tecad_logfile.conf. I've both Solaris and Linux EP
for the files. Note is TEC 3.8 FP3

Thanks, Richard

Using DM we monitor the size of the cache file.  If it goes above 54 bytes
then we send an alert. If you are trying to find the name of this cache
file or where its located  check your postemsg.conf.  In here is an opition
for BufEvtPath.  For wpostmsg check out @EventServer.conf in the lcfd/dat/1
directory.

Hi list,

Does anybody know if there is a way to buffer events from postemsg, but not
from wpostemsg?

If not, any comments on the most reliable way of monitoring the cache file
for wpostemsg and postemsg.

Failure is not an option for these events.

Thanks, Richard
