Running task from gateway

Can someone tell me if there is a gain in running task from the gateway of the 
endpoint instead of running the task from the TMR Server. As we plan to execute 
lots of
task at the same time, il would like to spread the wruntask over our gateways 
but i am not sure that there is a real gain of doing this.
I did a couple of test and found that when you run a task from the gateway, 
most of the job is done on the TMR Server as the gateway launch method on the 
dispatcher 1.
