Subject: [FWK411] Are all web_post_url event codes documented somewhere? - msg#00565

List: sysutils.tivoli.general

Date: Prev Next Index Thread: Prev Next Index

I’ve started working with the new web_post_interval and web_post_url

options in Framework 4.1.1, which I like very much. However, I am

wondering if there might exist somewhere a comprehensive list of

status codes that the endpoint might emit?

The Tivoli support site says:

“The specific event codes are not documented directly, but they can

be easily understood by examining the sample CGI script for

processing web posts.”

Unfortunately, I have begun to run into codes that are not found in

the sample “epwebpost_handler.pl” script. For example, I just

received “events=04:10:21”. Events 10 (“Login succeeded”) and

21 (“Upcall warning”) are documented in the sample script, but

event 04 is not mentioned. I did not see anything in the lcfd.log

file from around that time that jumped out at me as being the

cause of “event 04”, at least not at the default logging level that

I was running at the time.

Do any of the Tivoli folks out there have a “master list” that explains

what all the possible event codes mean? If so, could they post it

here, and/or add it as a tech note on the support site?

I have some documentation for pre FP5 I could send you. However, it was mostly changed in FP5. The short story is that the ITM DMML collects data from the GWs using the DMML Request Manager. It sends dataless MDIST2 requests to the endpoint and uses the return feedback with the collected XML files to return the data. At least that is how it worked prior to FP5. You can turn the traceing up on dmml and core in the $DBDIR/dmml/.config using the wdmconfig command. Also, we are not using Inventory and do not even have SCS installed. ITM5.1.2 Automated Actions arguments / variables

Hi all, Quick ITM questions, In the RMB, under the "Events" section, when I click on Actions, then click on "Add Program", then I select a program to run, can I pass in any slot information from the event? For example I want to execute an action that would kill a process if the CPU was too high. So when I execute the script I need the process namd and pid passed into my local program as variables. What other variables are available to me from the "Run Program" "Actions" button at runtime? Which document clearly explains this? -Mohammad (See attached file: C.htm) Hi all, Quick ITM questions, In the RMB, under the "Events" section, when I click on Actions, then click on "Add Program",  then I select a program to run, can I pass in any slot information from the event?  For example I want to execute an action that would kill a process if the CPU was too high.  So when I execute the script I need the process namd and pid passed into my local program as variables.   What other variables are available to me from the "Run Program" "Actions" button at runtime? [ITM] Exchange 2003

I am extremely frustrated. Our messaging team will be migrating to Exchange 2003 this Fall and Tivoli has yet to produce an Exchange 2003 monitoring product! I do not care if it has to stay on the Tivoli Manager for Exchange product; I just need something. What should I tell our messaging team? Any senior developers or management from IBM Tivoli care to respond? Am I just missing a monitoring plugin for Exchange 2003 that already exists? Regards, Jasper Silvis Cendant Mortgage
