TEC 3.9 - Importing ITM Baroc files: msg#00595sysutils.tivoli.general
Hallo, >I ran dmae_tec_inst.sh on a freshly created empty rule base. It starts >working but importing takes very long, and after importing a few baroc >files, the shell script just hangs. the TEC 3.9 relnotes describe quite elaborately what to do when you want to import ITM/ITMD/... baroc files, and there are some scripts provided to deal with that mess ;). I suggest you start over with an empty rulebase and import manually what you need, then you can sure that it works exactly the way you intended it. It's quite confusing that the Default rulebase contains some baroc files from ITM, ITMD/DB2 and ITMWAS already, this might even cause problems when the ITM* products get updated. I recommend you ignore the ITM* files from TEC Default, and use all of the class files from the installed products. You might keep the Default rules, or just use them as templates for your own ideas. Some of them are really nice, but most of them have to be tweaked for your environment (or your customer's environment ;) ).
