Re: How to disable the ITM Task alert: msg#00562sysutils.tivoli.general
Keith, I spent some time (not a lot) on that topic as well but unfortunately I did not find the way how to disable these alerts :-(. I was considering TEC 3.9 SCE engine but this is nearly the same like writing 'drop rule'. So I use very likely not very elegant solution : as I am NEVER interested in these alerts, I "undefined" them from BAROC. This causes "parsing failed" errors, so event is automatically "dropped" by reception engine. If someone found better solution, I would love to replace mine ;-) David David Krupa Advisory IT Specialist IBM Global Services SO-ITS B/L Phone: +32-2-225-2373 Mail: david.krupa-aj/cJ4sgBW3QT0dZR+AlfA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx "Tear Keith (sys1kmt)" <sys1kmt-W427o5GhOKc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To Sent by: tme10-XtjxT7Vmt5b1ENwx4SLHqw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx owner-tme10-gDVLAvcG/0E@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx cc .us.ibm.com Subject [tme10] How to disable the ITM Task 28/04/2004 15:28 alert Please respond to tme10 I've configured a few ITM indications to use the email task that was provided with the product. Every time this executes, I receive a TEC Alert of "TMW_TaskResult" of the same severity as the indication alert that triggered. How do you disable this Task alert from being sent? I'd hate to have to write a TEC Rule to drop this alert. Thanks, Keith |
